The Pakistani Army on Saturday opened cover fire and targeted an Indian Army drone to aid terrorists trying to cross the Line of Control (LoC) with the intention of infiltrating into Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir. Indian security forces foiled this infiltration plot by killing three terrorists.
Addressing a press conference in Uri, North Kashmir, Brigadier PMS Dhillon said that the operation was launched in the early hours of Saturday in Hathlanga of Uri sector near the Line of Control following intelligence information about infiltration attempts from Pakistan. At 6:40 am, three to four terrorists were seen trying to cross the Line of Control amid bad weather. Two terrorists were killed in the exchange of fire that lasted for several hours. The third injured terrorist ‘infiltrated’ with the help of firing from a nearby Pakistani post. He said, ‘Pakistan Army post helped them in infiltrating and fired towards us. Also fired on our drone. “As per our estimate, the injured terrorist died about 300 meters away from the Pakistani post.” The bodies of two terrorists have been recovered. Apart from two AK rifles, one pistol, seven hand grenades, one IED, 46 thousand rupees in cash (Indian currency) and 6 thousand Pakistani rupees were recovered from them.
Campaign continues in Anantnag
The operation to eliminate terrorists from the dense forest area of Anantnag district continued for the fourth day on Saturday. Officials said drones and helicopters have been deployed to locate the hideouts of terrorists in Gadole forests in Kokernag area of the district. As the attack resumed on Saturday, security forces fired several mortars towards the forest.

Properties of 13 fugitive terrorists will be confiscated
A court in Jammu and Kashmir has declared 13 terrorists living in Pakistan as fugitives. Now, if they fail to appear in court within 30 days, action will be taken to confiscate their properties.
