The government has taken strict action in the case of poisonous liquor in Ambala and Yamunanagar. 35 people have been arrested so far. People involved in this business have been fined more than two and a half crores and six FIRs have been registered by the police. The government has given financial assistance of Rs 38 lakh to the families of 11 people who lost their lives. These families have received this money under the ‘Dayalu’ scheme. However, 22 more people died from the poisonous alcohol. Only the family members of the people covered under Dayalu Yojana will get financial help.

Out of these 11 beneficiaries, Rs 5 lakh per family of 4 members and Rs 3 lakh per family of 6 members have been sent. Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar gave this information in a press conference held in Chandigarh on Thursday. He said, the incident of death due to poisonous liquor is very sad and the government has taken strict cognizance of it and taken strict action against the culprits. An FIR has been registered and the L-13 license has also been cancelled. In this case, 3 FIRs have been registered in Yamunanagar, in which 19 people have been arrested and 3 FIRs have also been registered in Ambala, in which 16 people have been arrested. 4 licensees – Mangeram, Amarnath, Sushil Kumar and Gaurav Kamboj have been declared defaulters. A total of 12 vend zones including 6 urban and 6 rural have also been cancelled. Along with this, 41 sub-vend licenses have also been cancelled. He said that the government has also urged people not to buy such products from such vendors.

Meanwhile, the CM released an amount of 44 crore 48 lakh rupees to 1159 beneficiaries under the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Antyodaya Parivar Suraksha Yojana (Dyaalu) which was launched with the aim of providing socio-financial security to Antyodaya families directly in their bank accounts. He said that when a member of the family dies in an accident or becomes disabled, a mountain of trouble breaks out on that family.

Kindly scheme started for poor families We have started दीन डायल वापध्याय आत्योडा पिराविर सुक्रष्ट यूजना (दयालु) चाली है to provide financial help to such families while worrying about them. In this scheme, assistance is provided in case of death or disability of a family member aged 6 to 60 years with an annual income of up to 1 lakh 80 thousand rupees. Under this scheme so far 1964 beneficiaries have received an amount of Rs 75 Crore 10 Lakh directly in their bank accounts. Under the scheme, financial assistance is provided on the death of a family member with an annual income of up to 1 lakh 80 thousand rupees or 70 percent or more disability. This scheme is being implemented by Haryana Parivar Suraksha Nyas. Under the Dayalu Yojana benefit is given according to different age groups. Rs.1 lakh for 6 to 12 years, Rs.2 lakh for 12 to 18 years, Rs.3 lakh for 18 to 25 years, Rs.5 lakh for 25 to 45 years, 45 to 60 years An amount of Rs 3 lakh is given annually.

This benefit also includes the amount received under the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) in the age group of 18 to 40 years or under the schemes run by various departments for the respective category. On this occasion Chief Principal Secretary to CM Rajesh Khullar, Principal Secretary V. Uma Shankar, Commissioner and Secretary of the Department of Civil Affairs Vikas Gupta, Additional Principal Secretary to CM Dr. Amit Agarwal, Deputy Principal Secretary K. Makarand Pandurang, Media Adviser Rajeev Jaitley, Chief Media Coordinator Sudesh Kataria, Media Secretary Praveen Atrey and Additional Director (Administration) of the Department Vivek Kalia were present.

Cases registered during covid will be back

Chief Minister Manohar Lal said that during the Covid-19 pandemic, a process will be initiated to withdraw the FIR registered against those who violated the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) issued by the Central and State Governments. 8275 FIR was registered for violation of rules. A total of 14,127 people were arrested in this. Maximum 1030 FIRs were registered in Gurugram district. 814 FIRs were registered in Jhajjar, 765 in Faridabad, 545 in Karnal and 646 in Rohtak. Withdrawal of all these FIRs will bring great relief to the people.
