Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya honored 69 teachers of the state who have done excellent work in the field of education while attending the State Teacher Award ceremony organized by the School Education Department as the chief guest on Tuesday. The function was inaugurated by the Governor, former President Late. Offering flowers to the portrait of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. Speaker of Haryana Legislative Assembly Gyanchand Gupta and School Education Minister Kanwarpal were also present on the occasion. The Governor also launched the brochure of Passport to Earning (P2E) for Schools Learning Literacy program by the School Education Department and UNICEF. Bandaru Dattatreya said that ideal teacher and former President Bharataratna Sarvepalli Dr. Radhakrishnan was an eminent educationist, ideal teacher and great philosopher, conductor of Indian culture. He said that human brain can be developed and utilized only through education.

He said that today, on the occasion of Teacher’s Day, we should introspect that what are the obstacles in achieving the goal of providing education to all and how they can be removed. He said that it is the endeavor of the government that no child should be deprived of education. In this direction, 1125 special training centers have been opened by the government in the state, in which a good effort has been made to give 28,139 out of school children special training for six months and get them admitted in normal schools. A special tool kit of study material named Kadam has been made for such children. He also praised the new education policy at the function.

On this occasion, Speaker Gyan Chand Gupta said that good teachers are the builders of the country who hone the students and provide them direction to build the interest of the nation. At the function, School Education Minister Kanwar Pal said that a teacher is not ordinary, he writes the future of the country. The role of a teacher is very important in a child’s life, which is a source of inspiration for any student. He said that the student should follow the teachings and teachings given by his teacher and give him maximum respect. On this occasion, Director of Secondary Education Department, Dr. Anshaj Singh welcomed the guests, while Director of Elementary Education Department, RS Dhillon expressed thanks.
