The team of Haryana Anti Corruption Bureau has succeeded in detecting a scam of more than Rs 100 crore in the Integrated Cooperative Development Project run by the Cooperative Department, Haryana. The Bureau arrested 10 senior officers and 4 private persons in this case and put them behind the bars.
Giving information about this, the government spokesperson said that the matter had come to the notice of the Anti Corruption Bureau team, upon investigation, this scam was exposed. He told that the Assistant Registrar of Cooperative Societies, District Registrar of Cooperative Societies of the Cooperative Department, with the connivance of the auditor, was purchasing flats and land etc. in their personal interest with the money deposited in the government account. Government records, bank account details etc. were also forged in the government records by these officials. In this entire case, embezzlement of about Rs 100 crore in the name of Integrated Cooperative Development Project has come to light. The matter is being investigated thoroughly after collecting all the necessary evidence. In this case, a case has been registered against the accused under various sections in Karnal and Ambala range.
The spokesperson said that the team of Haryana Anti Corruption Bureau, while investigating the case thoroughly, has arrested 6 gazetted officers, 4 other officers of ICDP Rewari and 4 private persons involved in it. Among these accused, Audit Officer Balwinder, Deputy Chief Auditor Yogendra Agarwal, District Registrar Cooperative Societies, Karnal Rohit Gupta, Assistant Registrar Cooperative Societies (ARCS) Anu Chosh, Ramkumar, Jitendra Kaushik, Krishna Beniwal have been arrested. Similarly, IDP Rewari of the same department has been arrested. Accountant Sumit Aggarwal, Development Officer Nitin Sharma and Vijay Singh have been arrested. Four private persons namely Stalin Jeet, Natasha Kaushik, Subhash and Rekha have been arrested in this case.
It is noteworthy that the Integrated Cooperative Development Project is being run by the Cooperative Department, Haryana. Under this project, development work is done by organizing various types of programs in rural and agricultural areas and cooperative societies are developed.

With this big action, Director General of Haryana Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) Shatrujit Kapoor once again gave a strong message to the corrupt and said that no matter which department the corrupt person belongs to, action is certain to be taken if found guilty. He said that the Bureau is committed to taking action against the culprits with complete transparency and impartiality and this campaign against the corrupt will continue in future also.
