Haryana has been decorated with Silver Medal in Swachh Mandap (State) category for best performance in 42nd India International Trade Fair 2023 held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The trade fair was held from 14th to 27th November at Pragati Maidan’s Bharat Mandapam. Pradeep Singh Kharola, Chairman and Managing Director of India Trade Promotion Organization, formed under the Union Ministry of Commerce, presented the silver medal to Haryana at the closing ceremony of the fair. Anil Chaudhary, General Manager of Trade Fair Authority of Haryana received the award on behalf of Haryana.
This time Haryana pavilion became the center of attraction for the visitors in the trade fair. The mandap displayed a picture of Haryana’s rich tradition, cultural heritage and achievements as well as the state leading the way on the path of progress with the help of modern technology. It showcased the state’s achievements in business and commerce and sports. The message of ‘Karma’ delivered by Lord Krishna through Arjuna was very attractively displayed on the soil of Haryana. A total of 51 stalls were placed in the mandap which was built in about 600 square meters.
Proper use of the entire area while proper display of products manufactured in the region has also been given full attention to cleanliness. Haryana has been successful in many ways in promoting the message of the Central Government’s ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ and a glimpse of this was seen in the Haryana Pavilion.
Impressed by these examples, the jury selected Haryana Mandap for the award in the field of cleanliness and at the closing ceremony of the trade fair on Monday evening, Haryana was decorated with a silver medal for excellence in cleanliness.
Glimpses of government’s startup policy were also seen through various products. E-Cycle made mainly by the youth of the region was the center of attraction in the fair. Products prepared by women’s self-help groups in different parts of the state, such as amla products, herbal products, basmati rice, handloom products, pickles, marmalade, shoes, meditation room in Faridabad, which tells the remedies for mental peace, the progress of the cooperative movement. The stalls of Hayfed and Vita, which became synonymous, were attracting visitors.
CM approved 14 new projects worth 32.69 crores
The Haryana government has decided to implement 14 new projects worth more than 32.69 crore rupees under the state scheme for conservation of rural water supply in 2 districts of Fatehabad and Hisar in an effort to bring about a transformative change in the lives of the rural population of the state. Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar gave administrative approval to these projects to be implemented by the Public Health Engineering Department here on Tuesday. An official spokesperson said that the new works under the ‘Augmentation Rural Water Supply-State Plan’ include laying of remaining sewer lines in the MC area of Narnaund town in district Hisar at an estimated cost of Rs 4.23 crore. Estimated cost of construction of canal based water works in village Baliala and Bora of Fatehabad is 7.23 crores, laying of DI water supply pipeline at an estimated cost of Rs. Construction of Jal Nirman Karya का निर्मान with an estimated cost of Rs 3.93 Crore is the main priority. Similarly, expansion of water supply scheme in village Nangal at a cost of Rs 1.04 crore, laying of DI water supply pipeline at an estimated cost of Rs 24.35 lakh in village Dulat etc.
