Today is the release day of Alan Wake 2, but also the day that Remedy gives us new details about the sequel’s expansions.
Short stories and interwoven franchises
A total of two DLCs will be released. This can be found in an FAQ on the official Alan Wake 2 website. The first is called “Night Springs”, which is the name of a TV show within the fictional universe of Alan Wake.
Fans can expect further visions and dreams and the first expansion offers the opportunity to play as “several well-known characters” from Alan Wake. The inexplicable stories are divided into several episodes.
Remedy’s second expansion, The Lake House, looks like it will be more closely tied to the main story. Here, fans can expect a “mysterious facility on the shores of Cauldron Lake.” Lake houses are always scary, except when Peter Fox sings about them.

The second DLC offers two separate stories in which the worlds of both protagonists – Saga and Alan – are mysteriously brought together again. Maybe Remedy is once again setting the stage for a meeting between Alan Wake and Control? We will see.
