Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar will present his government’s 9-year ‘report card’ on Thursday. In the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, he will give information about the government’s 9 years of important decisions and schemes related to poor people at the Antyodaya Mahasammelan in Karnal. Beneficiaries of various schemes of Central and Haryana Government will also be felicitated in the Antyodaya Mahammelan.
Jananayak Janata Party (JJPA), the ruling BJP’s alliance ally, and deputy CM Dushyant Chautala will not participate in the event. JJP is contesting assembly elections in Rajasthan and Dushyant’s election campaign program in Rajasthan is already fixed. Home and Health Minister Anil Vij has been ‘disaffected’ with the CMO (Chief Minister’s Office) since last month. They have also been invited to this event specially, but they say that they have been invited by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs.
By calling the beneficiaries of various schemes and the heads of BJP’s power centers in this Mahasammeel, it is clear that the party will also start the upcoming Lok Sabha elections through it. The state government feels that the schemes related to the poor have reached the right beneficiaries. These schemes also have an effect on poor people. In this way, the party will get the political benefit of these schemes in the upcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections.
Ayushman Bharat Yojana, Chirayu Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana, PM Samman Nidhi, Insurance and Road Accident Yojana, Ownership Yojana are many such programs which are directly related to poor people. Most of the central and state government schemes and programs have been linked with the family identity card. PPP has also benefited from the fact that the names of fake BPL card holders have been cut off and their entitled families have joined it. The monthly pension of the elderly is now starting at home only through PPP.
It is believed that BJP’s Shakti Kendra chiefs have been invited to the event so that they can reach the people on the ground about the issues and schemes to be raised here. After this visit of Shah, the political activities in the state will intensify. This event is also being seen as the start of BJP’s Lok Sabha elections. After the Mahasammelan, all the MLAs of the BJP will come to the village to hold a public dialogue program. This will be the first time after a tenure of nearly three and a half years, that Om Prakash Dhankhar will attend the Mahasammelan as National Secretary and MP Naib Saini as the State President of the BJP.
CM can make a big announcement
However, it is Antyodaya Mahasammelan and the beneficiaries of various schemes have been invited. But it is very possible that the Chief Minister will make a big announcement in Karnal. The CM has already given the signal to increase the old age, widow and disabled pension from Rs 2750 to Rs 3000 in the state. It is also possible that it will be announced in this conference. At the same time, the government is also preparing to give gifts to sugarcane farmers. At present the price of sugarcane is Rs 372 per quintal. It can be increased to 380 or more. Now this government will decide whether it will be announced in this conference or if the Chief Minister will give this gift to the farmers separately.
Special attention on Modi and Shah on Haryana
MLAs have also been assigned the duty to interact with the beneficiaries of various schemes in the villages of five assembly constituencies. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will interact with the beneficiaries of welfare schemes of the Central and State Governments at the Antyodaya Mahasammelan. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah are watching Haryana, which is the launching pad of half a dozen schemes of the central government.
