MEXICO CITY (apro).- “I do not pay for advertising,” said President Andrés Manuel López Obrador in response to the INE’s order to download from its official accounts the images of the delivery of the baton to Claudia Sheinbaum; The president abides by the measure, but asks his team to disagree.
“Yesterday the INE asked me to download a photo where I am handing the baton to Claudia, what do they have to do with it?” he questioned and upon clarifying that it is due to the use of public resources, the federal president argued that The event took place at 9:30 at night.
Insisting that it was a publication in official accounts, the president responded: “But I don’t know exactly how the networks’ bills are paid because I don’t pay for advertising, imagine handing over the baton at night.”
He added that the electoral process in his government will be different and there will be “absolute democracy. No oligarchy.”
And the INE regulations will be followed. “When they raised it I said no, remove that (the image of handing over the baton), just be dissatisfied.
