Another superstar’s entry in Tamil Nadu politics, Vijay formed ‘Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam’ party

Another superstar has entered Tamil Nadu politics. Tamil superstar Vijay has today formed his political party Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK). In a statement announcing his party, Vijay said that his party will contest the 2026 assembly elections, but will not contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Superstar Vijay had already registered his fan group as Vijay Makkal Ayyakam, which had contested the local body elections in 2021 and also won 115 seats. He said that our aim is to contest the 2026 assembly elections and provide necessary services to the people. To bring about fundamental political change.

The Tamil actor said, “On one hand the culture of corruption in the society and administration is troubling the politics of the state, on the other hand there is politics of hatred and division. In fact everyone is selfless, transparent, fighting caste-religion issues and corruption. Expecting a government without him.”

The Tamil superstar also said that such politics free of favoritism and corruption should be in line with the Tamil culture of equality and the political traditions of the state, which respects the Constitution. He also said that party officials will be selected democratically and the party will fight all-out against corruption.

Vijay said that TVK will start promoting its Tamil Nadu-centric ideology, its policies and the party flag among the people after the 2024 general elections. He also said that politics is not another profession but a sacred service to the public. He has seen the rise and fall of his seniors in politics and will not be swayed by victory.
