Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday, on the second day of Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Assam, said that BJP and RSS are in favor of running the entire country from Delhi. According to him, the country should be ruled from Delhi under one language and one leader. We do not agree with this. Assam will be ruled from Assam, not from Delhi.

Rahul Gandhi addressed a public meeting in Gogamukh in the state’s Lakhimpur district on the second day of his Bharat Jodo Nyaya yatra in Assam. During this, he said, “According to BJP and RSS, the country should be ruled from Delhi under one language and one leader. We do not agree with this. Assam will be ruled from Assam, not from Delhi.”

Rahul Gandhi said that we give as much importance to the safety of people in the North-Eastern states as we give it to any other state. He also criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for “avoiding” Manipur. He said: “For the first time in the history of the country, a state is facing a civil war-like crisis. The Prime Minister has not made a single visit to the state. He cannot go there because it would expose the political realities of the BJP.”

Meanwhile, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also criticized Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and in a fresh dig called him the “most corrupt” chief minister. He said that the Chief Minister can be bought, but the people of Assam cannot be bought. Rahul Gandhi started his Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra from Manipur in the east. It will culminate in Mumbai in the west.
