BJP MPs and leaders are not able to muster the courage to go to the Prime Minister, Home Minister: Sukhu – dainiktribuneonline.com

Hamirpur, 26 November (Nis)

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu directly targeted the BJP from Gandhi Chowk in Hamirpur. He had come here to distribute relief money to the disaster affected people and financial assistance to the beneficiaries of Sukh Ashray Yojana. He said that BJP MPs and leaders are not able to muster the courage to approach the Prime Minister and the Home Minister to get a special disaster package for Himachal. The state’s share of disaster claim of Rs 4950 crore is also not being received because of BJP leaders.

He said that after the disaster, the government has sent a revised claim note of Rs 9900 crore to the Central Government. Central teams have come thrice, but not even a single rupee of financial assistance has come. The Chief Minister said that the public has elected three BJP MPs and sent them to Delhi. He did not write any letter to the Prime Minister and the Home Minister for the special disaster package, nor did he say a word in the Parliament. What kind of politics is this of BJP? He said that BJP leaders are calling the amount received annually under NDRF as money received for disaster relief. This is the double character of BJP. Their motive is not public service, only politics. CM said that as soon as the Congress government came to power, it gave OPS to the employees, then the Central Government reduced the loan limit of Himachal Pradesh to Rs 6600 crore, so far this year we have taken a loan of Rs 4100 crore. Sukhwinder Sukhu said that no work was done in the BJP government, more than 40 thousand cases of death and partition were left pending. The Congress government is engaged in settling them by setting up a special interim court. Announcing the opening of the Chief Engineer office of the Electricity Board in Hamirpur and providing Rs 20 crore for making the city’s electric wires underground, the Chief Minister said that the city’s electric wires will be made underground in a year. On this occasion, MLA Indradutt Lakhanpal, Suresh Kumar, Ashish Sharma, KCC Bank Chairman Kuldeep Pathania and Chief Minister’s Political Advisor Sunil Kumar Bittu also addressed the public meeting.
