Home and Health Minister Anil Vij, who is angry with the working style of the CMO (Chief Minister’s Office), has made a separate recommendation to the government in the case of IPS officer Hemant Kalsan. The Chief Minister wants Hemant Kalsan to be retired. Being the Home Minister, Vij has recommended his reinstatement. Let us tell you here that the conflict between CMO and Vij is not over yet.

Vij’s anger is towards the CMO officer.

Actually, this officer had taken a meeting of health department officials without taking Vij into confidence. By recommending the reinstatement of Hemant Kalsan, Vij has now given a new issue for discussion in political and administrative circles. IPS Hemant Kalsan, who is often in the news, is accused of forcibly entering the house of a woman resident of Pinjore, Panchkula under the influence of alcohol in January and assaulting her.

Even before this, Kalsan had misbehaved with a nurse in the civil hospital located in Sector-6. A case of beating up a shopkeeper was also registered in Pinjore. Apart from this, a case of assault on mother and daughter under the influence of alcohol is also registered against Hemant Kalsan.

In view of Kalsan’s daily complaints regarding his behaviour, the government had constituted a high-level committee two years ago under the leadership of Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal to investigate and review the matter.

After this, Kalsan was recommended to be given pre-mature retirement under Rule 18 (3) All India Services Death cum Retirement Benefits. Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar also approved the recommendation of the committee.

Till now no decision has been taken by the government regarding his premature retirement. Meanwhile, Hemant Kalsan had recently given a presentation in front of Home Minister Anil Vij. In this he said that he has given up alcohol and has also brought changes in his behaviour. After this he asked for a chance from Vij. Vij has also recommended to the CM to give him a chance on the basis of the presentation. Now whatever decision is taken in this matter will be taken by the CM.
