Haryana Government’s startup scheme related to self-employment and self-reliance of youth is now showing results. By taking advantage of the government scheme, the youth of Haryana are now taking steps towards becoming entrepreneurs. Many youth of Haryana are now emerging as examples of the success of this scheme, which was started with the aim of promoting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Make in India Campaign’.

Many such startups related to Haryana have been given place in the India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2023 held at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi, in which small businessmen associated with MSMEs from different areas of the state participated. Their startup will prove to be helpful to the common man in environmental protection and getting rid of pollution as well as in getting rid of traffic jams. Besides, it will also help in improving health. E-cycle made with modern technology has also been included in Haryana Pavilion, which will be helpful in saving environment along with health. This project of e-cycling made in Haryana has been brought by startup Vikas Yadav. Vikas has earlier worked in the famous company ‘Tesla’ in Tokyo, the capital of Japan. He lost his job during the Covid pandemic. After this, after returning to India, he decided to start his own startup in his home place Rewari. Considering the situation at that time and the health of the general public, he decided to make an e-cycle. Inspired by the slogan of Make in India, Vikas made ‘Make in Haryana’ the target. He prepared a battery pack from Panasonic battery cells, which is perfect for e-cycle. This e-cycle has been prepared keeping all classes in mind. E-cycle costs only Rs 3 to travel 50 to 60 kilometers in rural areas. Whereas in urban areas this expense comes up to Rs 5. He told that this is the first bicycle company in India, which has the options of front drive, mid drive and rear drive in e-cycle.

Vikas told that he has sent samples for export to Korea, Netherlands and South Africa. His startup has received very good response in foreign countries also. He said that this has been possible only because of the business friendly policies and schemes of the Haryana Government.
