Congress warriors will not come to the field yet, Congress will wait for BJP –

It may take more time for Congress’ election warriors to enter the fray in Haryana. The Central Election Committee has not yet started brainstorming on the seats in Haryana. Party leader Rahul Gandhi has said that this time the Lok Sabha candidates will be announced two to three months in advance, but this does not seem possible in Haryana. It is said that Congress is still waiting for BJP candidates.

However, the ruling BJP has declared candidates for six out of ten seats. The candidates for Rohtak and Hisar have almost been finalized and the churning for Sonipat and Kurukshetra parliamentary seats is in the final stages. So far, a total of 8 Lok Sabha candidates have come into the election battle in the state. Apart from BJP’s six candidates, INLD has fielded Abhay Chautala from Kurukshetra. Under the electoral agreement between Congress and Aam Aadmi Party, Dr. Sushil Gupta is the alliance candidate from Kurukshetra.

Delaying ticket allotment is an old culture of Congress. The party is not able to come out of this. Although it has also suffered losses many times, the Congress neither wants to get out of this ‘culture’ nor do they seem to be making any such efforts. The Congressmen are waiting for the BJP to declare candidates on all the ten seats so that the Congress can announce the names of its candidates on its nine seats by settling the caste equations accordingly. BJP has nominated former CM Manohar Lal from Karnal, former MP from Ambala Late. Ratanlal Kataria’s wife Banto Kataria, Dharambir Singh from Bhiwani-Mahendragarh, Rao Inderjit Singh from Gurugram, Krishnapal Gurjar from Faridabad and sitting MP Sunita Duggal from Sirsa have been canceled and former MP Dr Ashok Tanwar has been given the ticket. After Manohar Lal became the candidate from Karnal, the equations of Congress have deteriorated. Congress has to think again on this seat.

Sources say that the ticket of Dr. Arvind Sharma, the sitting MP from Rohtak, is almost finalized. Internally the party has also asked him to prepare for the elections. Initially, there were chances of Arvind Sharma’s ticket being canceled but after Manohar Lal’s arrival from Karnal, the equations of Rohtak also changed. In such a situation, the party’s mind was fixed on Arvind only. Similarly, the name of former Finance Minister Captain Abhimanyu is considered almost certain as the candidate from Hisar. However, no one is officially confirming it till the announcement is made.

Experts associated with BJP say that the party has decided to field a Brahmin candidate from Sonipat also. Apart from Yogeshwar Dutt, the name of Rai MLA Mohanlal Barauli was floated here. Now suddenly the name of senior party leader Shashikant Sharma has come to the fore. Shashikant had contested the assembly elections in 2019 on BJP ticket from Samalkha constituency. It is said that churning is still going on in the party regarding Sonipat. Same situation prevails in Kurukshetra seat. There is a churning going on from here even on giving tickets from Vaishya quota.

BJP’s equations also got disturbed

BJP’s equations have also been disturbed with the entry of Sushil Gupta from Kurukshetra as Congress-AAP alliance candidate and Abhay Chautala from INLD. This is the reason why BJP has started internal churning on the Brahmin candidate from Kurukshetra. The name of senior party leader Jai Bhagwan Sharma ‘DD’ has come up in discussions. Jai Bhagwan Sharma, who contested the Lok Sabha elections from Kurukshetra in 2019 on JJP ticket, is considered to have a good influence in this area. Sources say that for this reason the party has started discussing the Brahmin candidate here. There is also a discussion going on to field a Vaishya candidate on this seat. The name of Ambala City MLA from Vaishya quota, Aseem Goyal, also came up in the news, but after he became the Minister of State, the discussion about his name has now stopped.

Churning is also going on between JJP and INLD

On the other hand, discussions are going on between JJP and INLD regarding the Lok Sabha elections. INLD Principal General Secretary Abhay Singh Chautala himself has entered the election battle from Kurukshetra. However, there is a big doubt whether INLD will contest elections on all the ten seats this time. Similar is the situation of JJP. JJP’s main focus is on Hisar, Bhiwani-Mahendragarh seats. However, Dushyant has also announced to field a candidate from Karnal. In such a situation, JJP can also field its candidates on three to four seats.

Only Deependra started campaigning

Congress has to field its candidates on 9 parliamentary seats. Till now, Rajya Sabha MP Deependra Hooda is the only leader who has started campaigning in Rohtak parliamentary constituency. Deependra has been active since a long time. Deependra, who had scored a hat-trick of victories from here, had lost the 2019 elections against BJP’s Dr. Arvind Sharma by about 7 thousand votes. No leader is active on the remaining eight parliamentary seats because the situation regarding the ticket is not clear yet.
