Congress is angry with the delay in starting the construction work of bridges and roads in the ward number 6 of former mayor Sarabjit Kaur near the Shani Mandir of Manimajra by the corporation in the name of widening the road. District Congress President Surjeet Dhillon, former District President Rameshwar Giri, Block President Sanjeev Gaba, Matloob Khan inspected the spot along with Congress workers and officials and warned of loud protests if the work is not started soon. He said that the construction work of the bridge demolished by the Corporation in the name of widening the road has been pending for several months due to which this road has been closed. On this route, to go from Housing Board Light Point to Modern Complex, Rajiv Vihar, Uppal Marble Arch etc. areas, one has to pass over this bridge and there are three schools on this route, due to which children are facing a lot of difficulty in coming to school. . Congress leaders have warned the Municipal Corporation and the administration that if the construction work of the bridge and Manimajra roads is not started soon, then they will sit on a dharna with the Congress workers and protest.
