Content Warning, the new viral phenomenon, exceeds 200,000 simultaneous users

Perhaps you have already heard about Content Warning, the new multiplayer game that was launched yesterday and that allows us to play with up to three friends in online mode, seeking to go viral by recording small homemade horror videos. The title has exceeded 200,000 simultaneous users on Steam in its first 24 hours.

The game currently costs €7.99, but was free on its first day of release, coinciding with April’s Fools’ Day in the United States. The publisher, Landfall Games, had already published games on this day of the year previously: both Totally Accurate Battle Simulator and Knightfall: A Daring Journey maintain the same comedic tone as this Content Warning and were released on April’s Fool’s Day 2021 and 2022, respectively.

Content Warning is a kind of mix of Lethal Company and Phasmophobia in which, with a humorous tone, we will join a group of friends to try to record spooky content in a kind of abandoned facility. One of the players will hold the camera and the rest will go out in search of creepy monsters. At the end of each day, we can upload what we have recorded to SpookyTube, the game’s YouTube, where we will obtain views and remuneration corresponding to its quality.

If it caught your attention, you can play Content Warning on Steam.
