Likewise, he indicated that in the Crisis Room of the Control, Command, Communication, Computing and Quality Center (C5) Toluca, the State Emergency Committee was established, whose purpose is to follow up on information in the event of any emergency and carry out response planning by the authority.

The Governor He thanked and recognized the work of the Civil Protection bodies in charge of carrying out this drill and invited the people of Mexico to continue carrying out this type of preventive actions that allow them to be prepared for any contingency.

“We invite and urge the population to do this type of action, not only when it is the drill date, but to do a practice that is carried out on a daily basis so that when a situation really happens, we are prepared with emergency actions. prevention,” he noted.

For his part, the Secretary General of the Government, Horacio Duarte Olivaresindicated that through the State Emergency Committee the drill was evaluated, which it classified as successful and reported a white balance, and highlighted the work carried out by the members of the General Coordination of Civil Protection and Comprehensive Risk Management.

It should be noted that the Second Drill 2023 It was carried out under the hypothesis of a magnitude 8.0 earthquake, located in the limits of Acapulco Guerrero, with a depth of 8 kilometers, being perceived with moderate to weak intensity in the entity.

The 18 state Secretariats participated, as well as the Highway Board, the System for the Comprehensive Development of the Family (DIF), the System of Highways, Airports, Related and Auxiliary Services (Saascaem), the Mexican Institute of Pyrotechnics (Imepi), Protector of Forests (Probosque), the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Mexico (FGJEM) and the Emergency Service of the State of Mexico (SUEM), with the support of four federal agencies: National Secretariat of Defense (Sedena), Guardia National, the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE), the National Water Commission (Conagua) and the Red Cross.
