Amidst chants of Bharat Mata and slogans of ‘Modi hai to mumkin hai’, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for bringing the Nari Shakti Vandan Bill to provide 33 percent reservation to women in the Lok Sabha and Assemblies. He congratulated the women for this. He said, ‘I appreciate this step of Prime Minister Modi that this long standing demand has been fulfilled which will increase the participation of sisters.’

He was interacting directly with the women from different districts of the state at Haryana Bhawan in New Delhi on Thursday. These women had come to the new Parliament House to watch the ongoing discussion regarding this bill. Women first gathered at Haryana Bhawan in Delhi. From where they left for the new Parliament building in different groups. During this, he met the Chief Minister present at Haryana Bhawan, Delhi and expressed happiness over the passing of the bill in the Lok Sabha and requested to convey his thanks to the Prime Minister.

The women were so happy that they started dancing on the drums playing there. They also raised slogans of ‘Modi hai toh mumkin hai’ with full enthusiasm. Apart from the Chief Minister, many dignitaries including BJP State President Omprakash Dhankhar, Lok Sabha MP Sanjay Bhatia, Nayab Singh Saini, Rajya Sabha MP Krishna Lal Panwar, former MP Kailasho Saini, former MLA Latika Sharma and Naresh Kaushik were present on this occasion. The Chief Minister said, today is a very important and historical day. Since today, after the Nari Shakti Vandan Bill is passed in the Lok Sabha for the empowerment of women, it will be passed in the Rajya Sabha.

This is a very commendable step and will prove to be a milestone. The Chief Minister said that in Haryana state, 50 percent reservation is already being given to women in local self-governance institutions and Panchayats. We wanted such a provision to be there in Lok Sabha and Assembly also and today that day has come.

Daughters and women are progressing in all fields

CM said, in Haryana we have done many works to promote women. One of the important actions was the launch of Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao program in Panipat on January 22, 2015. This was done as per the initiative of Prime Minister Modi. At that time the sex ratio in the state was 871, which has now reached from 923 to 926. Daughters and women are progressing in all fields. He said that along with daughters, sons also have to be promoted, only then there will be good balance in the society.

Indrajit showed Lok Sabha

On the other hand, the women of Gurugram Lok Sabha constituency were taken to the Parliament by Union Minister Rao Inderjit Singh. Along with showing the new Parliament building, he also showed the proceedings of both the Houses to the women.

Modi made the impossible possible: Dhankhar

BJP state president Omprakash Dhankhar said that PM Modi has made the impossible possible. Dhankhar said, it has been said for only one Prime Minister that if Modi is there then it is possible. In this he mentioned the Ujjwala scheme launched by the Prime Minister for women empowerment, getting rid of triple talaq, tap water for every house, Jan Dhan Yojana etc. Dhankhar said, Modi ji had once said that motherhood is leadership. This is the reason why Prime Minister Modi had the most respect for his mother. Today his mother would be blessing him from heaven for this work.
