Chandigarh, November 10 (Trinew)
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) state president and Rajya Sabha MP Sushil Gupta has cornered the Khattar government over the increasing trend of drug abuse in Haryana. He said that illegal drugs are being sold openly in every village, city, street and locality in Haryana. Be it the intoxication of chitta or different types of intoxication through medicines, but enmities have also increased due to intoxication. The situation is such that in Sirsa district, 35-year-old Palaram, brother-in-law of Aam Aadmi Party district councilor Sandeep Kaur, was killed by illegal vendors for opposing the addiction of chitta.
In a statement issued from Chandigarh on Friday, Gupta said that drug sellers cannot be so courageous without political patronage and police connivance. It is sad that drugs have started being sold in this manner in Haryana and the courage of drug sellers has become so high that they have started killing people. He said when will CM Khattar wake up from his sleep and take action against those who are pushing Haryana into the trap of drugs.
