Elections were conducted with transparency: Malhotra – dainiktribuneonline.com

Bharatiya Janata Party Chandigarh State President Jitendra Pal Malhotra has described the victory of BJP candidates in the Mayor, Senior Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayor elections in Chandigarh as a victory of the guarantees of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the policies and ideology of BJP and at the same time it is a victory for India. This marked the beginning of the collapse of the alliance. State Vice President Kailash Chand Jain, General Secretary Hukam Chand and Councilor Kulwant Singh Billu were present along with him in the press conference held at BJP office Kamalam on Wednesday. Malhotra said that the victory of BJP candidates is the guarantee of Modi and the victory of BJP’s policies and ideology. With this victory the alliance has been exposed. This is the beginning of their downfall. He said that the city councilors want the development of the city and development is possible only through BJP, hence these councilors did not want the Aam Aadmi Party to become the mayor. Apart from this, Congress itself did not want Aam Aadmi Party to become the mayor. He said that it was a mismatched alliance and an alliance of two persons which has fallen apart. In response to a question, Malhotra said that all the allegations being made are false, everything was transparent. The entire process was being telecasted live. How can anyone do anything wrong in such a situation? Malhotra also clarified that the total votes we got were 16. We have not done any kind of horse trading, whatever has been done has been done by the councilors of Congress and Aam Aadmi Party. The councilor himself was unhappy with the alliance of these two persons. Hence the vote was spoiled.
