A farmers’ meeting was held on Sunday at Chhotu Ram Kisan Bhawan in Israna, which was presided over by farmer Pale Ram. Pale Ram Israna said that on one hand, while accepting the demand of paddy traders, the Central Government reduced the minimum export price of all Basmati variety paddy from $ 1200 per ton to $ 950 per ton, but the farmers got the benefit of this discount from the traders. Not giving. Despite the decline in exporter prices, traders are purchasing Basmati paddy on the same lines as before. He said that with the opening of paddy trade, only the business class is taking advantage of it and farmers should also benefit from it by giving them good prices for paddy. Farmers demand that they be given good prices for paddy. Farmers Tejbir Naultha, Devendra Jaglan, Harichand Malik, Jai Bhagwan, Rajsingh Arya, Ranbir Naultha, Balbir Singh and Rajroop Israna etc. were present in the meeting.
