Filtered new details of a Lego racing game developed by 2K

New details of a Lego racing game developed by 2K Games have leaked online, including some screenshots.

The project would supposedly have the title 2K Drive (although, as a curious fact, this had already been used in 2013 in a mobile game developed by Lucid Games) and would have a “Mario Kart-like style” with races with vehicles that would change automatically on the fly. terrain as you drive.

The images, posted on Reddit, feature various Lego themes, including a spooky biome and another that looks like the Wild West.

This new game would not have been produced by what has traditionally been the developer of Lego games, TT Games, responsible for the successful Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.

Last year, information was published that claimed that 2K had signed an agreement with Lego to create several licensed sports-themed titles.

At the time, it was said, for example, that one of them would be a soccer game developed by Sumo Digital (the creators of Sackboy: A Big Adventure) with the idea of launching it on the market to coincide with the 2022 World Cup. This, obviously, it didn’t come true.

The other was a racing game, developed by Visual Concepts (WWE 2K22) and scheduled for release in 2023. This would be the 2K Drive that has been leaked.

Finally, there would be a third game in development, of which more details are unknown. 2K Games has yet to officially announce the collaboration with Lego, although it is known that the maker of the popular toys intends to greenlight more projects in the franchise.
