Final Fantasy VII Remake adds 7 million copies sold

square enix has announced a new sales milestone for Final Fantasy VII Remake.

Physical copies distributed to stores and digital sales total 7 million units since its launch on PS4 in April 2020.

The figure includes copies of FF VII Remake Integrade, the improved version that was published on PlayStation 5 and PC (first as an exclusive to the Epic Games Store and later on Steam).

The first figure reported was shortly after release, with 3.5 million copies sold in its first three days. In August 2020, it reached 5 million units sold.

Yesterday we were able to see a new trailer for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the second installment of the trilogy that will review the classic 1997 RPG. It indicated the release date: February 29, 2024.

Here you can read our analysis of Final Fantasy VII Remake: “An excellent reimagining in some aspects and less notable in others, which thinks about the fans and does justice to a historic game.”

Later we published an article about the InterMission DLC starring Yuffie, included in Intergrade: “a small addition that, without much fanfare or news, is quite interesting to play.”
