Three masked miscreants fired indiscriminately at the shop of Maturam, a famous desi ghee and jalebi seller, in the Old Anaj Mandi area on Sunday morning. During this time, 37 bullets were fired by the criminals. Milkman who was standing at the shop was injured by the bullet. After that, the miscreants fired 5 bullets again near Agrasen Chowk in Old Anaj Mandi and ran away.
There was talk throughout the day that two crores of extortion was demanded by throwing a slip outside the shop, but the police denied it. The police are investigating the case. Commissioner of Police B. Satish Balan and DCP Bharti reached the shop and took information. Shopkeepers have demanded concrete action. Neeraj Gupta along with his brother Raman Gupta runs a sweet shop named Mathuram Halwai in front of Shiv Chowk near Purani Anaj Mandi. His jalebis are famous all over the country. Both brothers were at the shop at 11:15 on Sunday morning. There were many customers at the shop. It is alleged that during this time three young men on bikes reached there. He wore a mask on his face. All three took out their pistols and started firing. The bullets hit the counter, glass and utensils inside the shop. Meanwhile, Bijendra, a resident of Mahra, who came to sell milk, was injured by a bullet.
It is said that a badman came near the counter and ran away throwing a piece of paper. 37 shots were fired in front of the shop. The youths running here went a little further and fired 5 shots near Agrasen Chowk. After the incident, a call was made on Raman Gupta’s WhatsApp around 2:30 am. After the incident Police Commissioner B. Satish Balan and DCP Bharti Dabas reached the spot along with the police force and interacted with the shopkeepers.
Firing happened in 2017 too, 50-50 lakhs were demanded
On July 13, 2017, an extortion of Rs 50-50 lakh was demanded after firing outside the firm of famous Mathuram Rajendra Kumar. Then the police caught many accused. Then a letter was thrown outside the shop asking for extortion. Now firing has been done after six and a half years.
Shots fired outside Mathuram Misthan Bhandar in Gohana. 9 teams have been made in the matter. The attackers have been identified. A team of STF along with 8 teams of police are searching for him. So far, no complaint has been received for asking for money.
