The Argentine novel, Floricienta, performed by Florencia Bertotti, continues to be a worldwide success. The soap opera premiered in 2004, almost 20 years ago, and continues to be just as relevant for young people and adolescents who identify with Florencia, the girl who works as a nanny in the Fritzenwalden family home where she will meet who is probably the love of his life, according to the synopsis.
The history of Florence or Floricienta is based on the story of Cinderella by Charles Perrault and has great similarities with the film The Sound Of Music. The protagonist falls in love with Federico, the eldest son of the Fritzenwalden family who returns from Germany after the death of his father.
And, every September 21, as dictated by one of the program’s musical themes, fans take to the streets to give yellow flowers to their loved ones or conquests.
The custom of giving yellow flowers arises from the homonymous song composed by María Cristina de Giacomi and Carlos Zulisber Nilso for the novel. In this, the story is told of a couple who hopes to meet again to seal their love with a bouquet of these plants. Hence the belief that anyone who gives you yellow flowers in the spring is because he intends to be the love of your life.
