Mahendragarh, 19 November (HP)
A complaint was received by Police Station Sadar Mahendragarh from the Registrar of Central University Haryana, Pali. In the complaint, Ajay Singh was accused of embezzling government money in the Central University while working as a former system analyst in the Central University. This was thoroughly investigated by the police and a case was registered against the accused under various sections at Sadar Mahendragarh police station.
The action of the case was handed over to DSP Ranbir Singh by Superintendent of Police Nitish Aggarwal. DSP Ranbir Singh said that while investigating the case, facts of embezzlement of university funds came to light. Acting on the basis of facts, accused Ajay has been arrested and produced in the court and taken on police remand for 5 days.
The investigation so far has revealed that lakhs of rupees have been embezzled by the accused by tampering with the university’s account. The accused is being interrogated by the police.
