Gameloft is working on a Dungeons and Dragons video game

Hasbro has announced a collaboration with Gameloft to develop a new game under the Dungeons and Dragons license.

Gameloft Montreal (Disney Dreamlight Valley, Lego Star Wars Castaways) will be the main studio behind this title that will mix survival, life simulation and action RPG.

According to the developer’s description, it will be an adventure set in the Forgotten Realms that will have real-time survival elements.

Lee Kaburis, executive producer of the Canadian studio, has indicated that at the studio “we are all big fans of D&D” and they are increasing the size of the team for the development of this title.

Marc-Andre Deslongchamps, creative director of the studio, has commented that one of the pillars of Dungeons & Dragons is “making friends, inside and outside the game” and his goal is to bring that experience to a different genre thanks to an “emerging gameplay.” and a shared narrative that can be enjoyed by board game newbies and veterans alike.”

The Senior Vice President of Digital Strategy and Licensing at Wizards of the Coast has highlighted Gameloft’s experience working with large IPs and its passion for Dungeons and Dragons.

Gameloft’s Dungeons and Dragons game will be released on PC and consoles to be determined. It has no estimated release date.
