Gift to Ranji players, BCCI announces new scheme, match fees will increase

New Delhi, BCCI had given a big gift to the test playing players. BCCI decided to give an incentive of Rs 45 lakh per match to those players who play 75 percent or more of the scheduled matches in every season. Now apart from international cricket, BCCI has also decided to give incentive scheme to players in Ranji Trophy.

MCA president Kale proposed to match the domestic fees of BCCI, which was unanimously accepted by the apex council of the state unit. Kale said, “MCA will pay additional match fees to every player for Ranji Trophy matches from the next season. We felt that players should earn more, especially those who play Ranji Trophy cricket. Red ball cricket means a lot to us because Ranji Trophy holds a special place for everyone in Mumbai.”

DC vs PBKS: After the defeat, Robin Uthappa got angry at the management of Delhi Capitals, said- Why should the Indian players…

At present, players playing Ranji are paid between 40 thousand to 60 thousand rupees per day. According to their experience. The player who plays in all 7 group matches of a season gets Rs 11.2 lakh in a year. However, this amount is less than the players playing in IPL. The bidding for players in IPL starts from Rs 20 lakh.

Sunil Gavaskar had raised the demand
Sunil Gavaskar had said that if Ranji Trophy fees can be doubled or tripled, then definitely many more players will play Ranji Trophy. Along with this, very few players will keep themselves out of Ranji Trophy. Because if the fees are good then obviously more and more players will come to participate in this tournament.
