President Andrés Manuel López Obrador announced that in December the “large pharmacy” will be inaugurated that will have all the medications required in the country, to guarantee 100 percent supply, which will be located in the municipality of Huehuetoca, State of Mexico.
The Secretary of Health, Jorge Alcocer Varelasaid that the tentative date could be December 30since there are 20 percent of the spaces that the refrigerators will occupy for some medications that require it, in addition to the good logistical location for immediate distribution.
López Obrador reported that the company Birmex will be in charge of managing the medications in the “super warehouse”, which will have an agile communication and transportation system, so that if a medicine is missing in a community, town, municipality or state, in a health center or hospital, it will be supplied within 24 hours.
“The agreement has already been closed with a company, they are warehouses in Huehuetocahuge, roofed, very well located, strategic, near the Felipe Ángeles Airport and the Mexico City Airport, and we are going to inaugurate this warehouse, this great pharmacy, in December,” he stressed.

AMLO He explained that a week ago the agreement was signed with the company in charge of the warehouse, which was given an advance payment of 10 percent in accordance with an appraisal that was carried out.
AMLO He explained that Birmex is the company that will be in charge of distribution, “it is a parastatal that will be in charge of all distribution and warehouse management.”
At the time, the owner of Health He added that the “large pharmacy” is practically ready, which will have exits for other means of transportation, small planes or airplanes.
“It will be easy because the airport is there and the roads are very direct for it. “This warehouse, I understand, could be inaugurated on December 30,” he said.
