Chandigarh, November 2 (Trinew)
Former CM and opposition leader Bhupendra Singh Hooda has attacked the nine-year tenure of the Manohar government of Haryana. Attacking BJP’s claim of a double engine government, Hooda said, Haryana does not need a double engine but a new engine government. The present government has made the state number-one in terms of inflation, corruption, unemployment, crime and drugs. Out of the nine big projects of the Center which the government is claiming as its achievements in the last nine years, eight are from the Congress era.
During the tenure of BJP, only Rewari got a new AIIMS, but even in that case the work has not started till date. Hooda was talking to the media at his official residence in Chandigarh on Thursday. Apart from former speakers Kuldeep Sharma and Ashok Arora, Mullana MLA Varun Chaudhary and Hooda’s former political advisor Prof Virendra Singh were also present in the press conference. Citing figures, Hooda said that in nine years the debt burden on the state has increased to Rs 4.25 lakh crore.
Previous governments also took loans, but the present government took loans but there was no development in the state. During the time of Congress, there was development in every sector including medical college, university, IMT, power plant, metro line, railway line and many big projects of the Center came up in the state. The present government has not done even one of these things, yet the debt has increased so much that now every child is also a debtor of Rs 1 lakh 36 thousand. Stating that the financial condition of Haryana is worse than that of Punjab, Hooda has demanded to release a white paper on the economic condition. The former CM said that jobs have ended in the BJP government. The promise was to provide employment to two lakh youth every year. The situation is that more than two lakh sanctioned posts are lying vacant. There is rigging in the recruitments of Haryana Public Service Commission and Haryana Staff Selection Commission. Most of the papers are leaked. Paper leak mafia is active in the state and it has the protection of the government. It is the result of paper leak that instead of children from Haryana, children from other states are getting selected here.
He said that more than thirty papers have been leaked so far. Describing the paper leak as a big conspiracy, the former CM said that the questions are repeated and the recruiters are informed in advance. A spendthrift government is running in the state. Raising the demand for a CBI investigation into the paper leak cases, the former CM said that even in the name of Skill Employment Corporation, the future of the youth is being played with. During the time of Congress, the unemployment rate was 2.8 percent, which has now increased to nine percent. That means unemployment has increased three times in nine years.
Hooda will be special observer in Rajasthan elections
The Congress high command has entrusted a big responsibility to former Haryana CM and opposition leader Bhupendra Singh Hooda. He has been appointed special observer of Rajasthan Assembly elections. The party has given this responsibility to five senior leaders including Hooda. These include Shakti Singh Gohil, Mukul Wasnik, Jitendra Singh and Shakeel Ahmed Khan, who were in-charge of Haryana affairs. Hooda is the fourth leader among the senior leaders of Haryana Congress, who is on duty in other states. Recently, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot had also met Hooda in New Delhi and invited him to campaign in Rajasthan.
