Presidential elections are to be held in America next year. Indian-origin American citizen Vivek Ramaswamy is among the contenders for nomination from the Republican Party. 38-year-old Ramaswamy presents himself as a simple truth-teller and a powerful speaker. Meanwhile, a sensational report has come out. Business Insider has spoken to some former employees of his companies Roivant Sciences and Strive Asset Management. These people have described Ramaswamy as a deranged, fickle and crazy leader.

The Republican primary debate was held last August. During this period, Vivek Ramaswami became beloved by the voters due to his self-confidence, charismatic and courageous conduct. He presented himself as an entrepreneur who thrives on struggle and does not shy away from a fight. But, the report that has come out now is surprising in many ways. In this, 7 persons working with Ramaswamy have made serious allegations against him. He claimed that he could prove to be a neurotic, fickle and crazy leader.

Claim of imposing unusual rules on employees
‘Ramaswamy thinks people are there to serve him,’ said a former aide. This is a sign of a feeling of possessiveness. Some aspects of his management style are strange. For example, on his birthday he gives the office a Taco Bell treat. But, he imposes unusual rules on his employees to fulfill his every need. He starts demanding white-glove service from his staff. Not only this, these people also complained about the temperature of the office. He said that Ramaswami keeps the temperature of the work place so low that people start feeling cold.

The employee said – travel related habits are also unique
A former employee of Ramaswamy said that his travel habits have also been unique. He said, ‘During the travel, he also used to book many backup flights and hotels, so that there is no problem of any kind. He also used to take lunch from his assistant in a separate plate and serve it through a napkin. The employee further said, ‘Ramaswami always demanded cheese in his food, which was quite surprising. He had a private security guard who was a former Army Ranger. He remained with her till she joined the race for the presidential candidacy.

Ramaswamy’s parents went to US from Kerala

Ramaswamy recently said that if he wins the 2024 elections, he will remove more than 75 percent of the federal government employees and close many key agencies like the FBI. Ramaswamy said his targets would be the Education Department, FBI, Excise, Tobacco, Arms and Explosives Bureau, Nuclear Regulatory Commission, (Internal Revenue Service) IRS and Commerce Department. “We will start from day one,” Ramaswamy was quoted as saying. We want to reduce the number of employees by 50 percent by the end of the first year.
