Hero MotoCorp sales increased by 26 percent, strong demand in festive season

Hero MotoCorp, one of the largest two-wheeler makers, had sales of 5,74,930 units in October. This is an increase of 26 percent compared to the same month last year. Last month the company sold 5,29,341 units of motorcycles. Sales of its scooters were 45,589 units.

The company has sold 5,59,766 units in the country. In the same period last year, sales were 4,42,825 units. The company has exported 15,164 units in October. Hero MotoCorp has also started deliveries of the X440, the first motorcycle built in partnership with Harley-Davidson. Its 1,000 units have been sold at 100 dealerships of the company. The X440 is being manufactured at Hero MotoCorp’s factory in Neemrana, Rajasthan. The company has also started new booking for this. This motorcycle is being sold in three variants – Denim, Vivid and S. Their prices range between Rs 2,39,500 to Rs 2,79,500 (ex-showroom).

This is the most affordable motorcycle of Harley Davidson. The company has received more than 25,000 bookings for this. To meet its increasing demand, Hero MotoCorp will increase its manufacturing. This motorcycle has been specially designed according to the conditions of the country. The X440 has round headlamps, LED lighting and LCD instrument controls. It has a recently developed 398 cc single cylinder and air-cooled motor, which generates 27 bhp power and 38 Nm peak torque. Along with this, there is six speed gearbox, inverted front forks and twin shock absorbers at the rear.

Recently Hero MotoCorp launched Karizma XMR. The company has re-introduced this popular motorcycle with a new design. The new Karizma has a 210 cc engine. Its price is Rs 1,82,900 (ex-showroom). It has a 210cc 4V liquid cooled engine which generates 25.5Ps of power and 20.4Nm of torque. This motorcycle has been made available in Iconic Yellow, Matte Red and Phantom Black colors. It has features like LCD digital instrument cluster, turn by turn navigation, slip and assist with Bluetooth connectivity.
