Images circulate of a couple having sex in the bathroom of a flight

Police had to escort off the plane a couple who were caught having sex in the aircraft toilet on a recent easyJet flight.

The humiliating images of the couple being paraded mid-flight by the cabin crew have been widely shared on social media; a video on X/Twitter has been viewed almost five million times.

In the clip, a flight attendant can be seen opening the bathroom door, with a man and woman inside naked.

Before showing the couple, laughter is heard in the cabin and someone shouts “let’s go” to the staff member, although the crew at the back of the plane seem embarrassed.

A passenger close to the action shouted: “Oh, my goodness.”

An easyJet spokesperson told The Independent: “We can confirm that this flight from Luton to Ibiza on September 8 was met by police upon arrival due to the behavior of two passengers on board.”

It is unclear what action, if any, was taken against the two passengers involved.

Although there is no British law that explicitly addresses having sex on a plane, it is “an offense to intentionally engage in sexual activity in a public toilet,” according to section 71 of the Sexual Offenses Act 2004.

Most of the comments on the video saw the funny side, and one X user wrote: “I hope it wasn’t the pilot.”

Others made jokes about the “no frills” policies of some budget airlines, such as Chris: “No doubt Ryanair would charge for this extra.”

Earlier this year, an OnlyFans model took a less public route to join the group of people who have had sex on board a plane mid-flight, better known as the “Mile High Club.”

Caitlyn Rose and her partner Micheal Coate spent $1,124 to rent a private jet to fly over the Las Vegas Strip.
