Today, at 4:00 p.m., the Budget and Public Accounts Commission of the Chamber of Deputies will resume its ordinary session to discuss and vote on the opinion of the Federation Expenditure Budget for 2024.
It is expected that, once approved by the Commission, next Monday, November 6, it will be discussed and endorsed by the plenary session of the Lower House.
And that, in its time, reservations are presented and discussed over the next three days, until November 9or until they run out, since there are around two thousand.
In the draft opinion, which began to circulate on November 1, it is foreseen a cut to the budget requested by the autonomous bodies for 13 thousand 262 million 399 thousand 680 pesos by 2024.
In this area, the largest reductions are for the Judiciary, for 6,465 million pesos; to the Legislative Branch, for 1,636 million pesos; and to the National Electoral Institute (INE), for 5 billion pesos.
Otherwise, the draft opinion of the PEF 2024 provides for an increase of around 45,894 million pesos for Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex), infrastructure and for the Benito Juárez Basic Education Scholarships for Well-being.
