INE orders Álvarez Máynez to download another spot where he accuses Sheffield of robbery

The Complaints and Complaints Commission of the National Electoral Institute (INE) ordered the presidential candidate of Movimiento Ciudadano, Jorge Álvarez Máynez, download another spot; this time, one in which he accuses the former Federal Consumer Attorney, Ricardo Sheffield, today a candidate for senator for Morena, of theft.

The councilors who make up the commission agreed to instruct the removal of a video that the orange flag bearer shared on social networks to promote his presidential aspiration.

In the recording, he accuses that while he has worked for the country for a decade, the former attorney “robbed” hands-on when he was a member of the PAN, but now he is part of Morena and they are allies of the PRI.

“Sheffield, who is now from Morena, stole heavily from the PAN, the same PAN that became corrupt and handed over Guanajuato to crime, now they are allies of the PRI,” he says in the video.

The commission deemed it appropriate to adopt precautionary measures against the candidate under the consideration that what was expressed in the spot is not protected by freedom of expression or the right to information.

“The statement could constitute the accusation of the crime of theft awarded to Ricardo Sheffield as a candidate for senator,” it was indicated.
