The first sports meet organized by Haryana Vidhan Sabha Sports Club concluded with the prize distribution ceremony on Tuesday. On the last day of the meet, the cricket match between ‘Speaker-11’ under the captaincy of Vice President Gyan Chand Gupta and ‘Deputy Speaker-11’ under the captaincy of Vice President Ranbir Gangwa was exciting. ‘Deputy Speaker-11’ won this match by 13 runs. In this sports meet which started from October 26, competitions like volleyball, badminton, cricket, long jump, slow cycling, 100 meter race, tug of war, matka race, lemon race etc. were included. Governor Bandaru Dattatreya was the chief guest at the closing ceremony. Leader of Opposition Bhupendra Hooda, Vice President Ranveer Gangwa and many MLAs and officials were present in the function organized under the chairmanship of Assembly Speaker Gyan Chand Gupta. The Governor said that the initiative taken by the Speaker and MLAs to promote sports with constitutional responsibility is commendable.
