New Delhi. The 67th match of IPL 2022 was played between Gujarat Titans and Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. This was the last league match of Gujarat and in this he had to face defeat at the hands of Bangalore. During this match, something like this was seen, which does not match with the cricket called Gentleman’s Game. Gujarat Titans batsman Matthew Wade seemed so unhappy with the umpire’s decision that he created an uproar in the dressing room. Everyone saw its video. Gujarat Titans batted first against RCB. Glenn Maxwell had come to bowl the sixth over of Gujarat’s innings and in this over there was a dispute, due to which Wade had to be reprimanded. Actually, Wade tried to play a sweep shot on the second ball of this over of Maxwell. But he missed and the ball went straight to the pad. Maxwell and other RCB players appealed for LBW. On this the umpire raised his finger. Wade then took a review against the umpire’s decision. But even that did not change the decision. Angered by this, Wade returned to the dressing room. He scored 16 runs.
Wade created a ruckus in the dressing room
What happened after that is really shameful. When Wade reached the dressing room, his anger erupted and he started creating a ruckus. Wade first hit the helmet on the ground and then started hitting the bat here and there. This act of his was caught in the cameras and its video started going viral. After the match was over, he was presented in front of the referee. Where Wade apologized for his actions and accepted the mistake.

Wade reprimanded by the match referee
The mistake made by Matthew Wade falls under Level-1 of Article 2.5 of the Code of Conduct of the IPL. When any player is found guilty under this, the match referee has the right to make the final decision on him and his decision is binding on him. In this case, Wade was lucky that he was released only after being reprimanded.
