The Spanish international full-back Jesús Navas informed Sevilla this Thursday that he will leave the Sevilla club at the end of the 2023-2024 campaign, thus ending 17 seasons as a Sevilla player, separated into two different stages, in which he has played 688 games, being the player with the most matches in the history of the Seville entity.

The Sevilla captain communicated his decision to the club and to all his teammates and coaching staff at the training session held this Thursday morning at the José Ramón Cisneros Palacios Sports City, according to the club.

Navas has played 688 games for Sevilla to date, 500 in the domestic competition after starting this Wednesday against Cádiz, 47 in the Champions League, 65 in the Europa League, 67 in the Copa del Rey, 5 in the Super Cup of Spain and 4 in the European Super Cup, in which he has achieved a total of 39 goals and 119 assists.

In addition, the Los Palacios player will leave Sevilla with a record of eight titles: four from the Europa League, two from the Copa del Rey, one from the European Super Cup and another from the Spanish Super Cup.

Sevilla stressed that the footballer is “the ultimate legend of Sevilla FC in capital letters” and that he is leaving “the club of his life” after 17 seasons, in two stages, between 2003 and 2013, and between 2017 and 2024, after his passing for Manchester City between 2013 and 2017.

“Navas is the man with all the records in the entity. Player with the most titles, the most matches, the most caps (51) and titles (3) with the Spanish team, the only European player to win the World Cup, Euro Cup and Nations League and the most long to wear the national jersey,” remarked the Sevilla team.
