Josh Peck Breaks Silence on Drake Bell Sexual Abuse Revelations

The Nickelodeon television series, Drake & Josh, marked a milestone in entertainment programs. The production by Dan Schneider catapulted the careers of young actors and singers, Drake Bell, Josh Peck and Miranda Cosgrove.

Years later, it would be some of the actors and actresses who worked with Schneider who would directly or indirectly accuse him of having been victims of sexual harassment and abuse. This would be one of the great scandals of the television industry, which also affected other members of said productions.

Such is the case of Bell that, in recent weeks, he decided to break the silence in a series titled Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV broadcast by ID (Investigation Discovery), in which he claimed that he was sexually abused by Brian Peck, who was his dialogue coach.

The former Nickelodeon child star said that Brian was an influential person in the artistic world, especially in the productions of All That and The Amanda Showin the latter he participated between 1999 and 2002.

After these controversial events, social networks have railed against Josh, who was Bell’s running mate on the Nickelodeon show. Recently, Josh shared fun videos on TikTok, and followers of Drake & Josh They complained to him for not having responded to Bell’s statements, when he was a minor.

In the documentary Quiet on Set, Bell confessed that Brian touched him suggestively on the waist and, very constantly, on the shoulders; But it was on a production trip that he made the first inappropriate touch without the presence of Bell’s parents, who constantly accompanied him and advised him professionally.

Josh posted a message on his Instagram four days after the documentary premiered.

“I finished the documentary Quiet On Set and it took me a few days to process it,” his post says. “I reached out to Drake privately, but I wanted to lend my support to the survivors who were brave enough to share their stories of physical and emotional abuse on Nickelodeon sets with the world.”

He continued: “Children must be protected. Reliving this publicly is incredibly difficult, but I hope it can bring healing for the victims and their families, as well as necessary change in our industry.”

American actress icarlyJennette McCurdy, published in her book I’m Glad My Mom Died, as “The Creator” requested some favors of a sexual nature, in exchange for remaining in some of his most successful series. Despite not saying his name openly, readers deduced that it was Schneider.

In recent days, Schneider gave an interview to The Hollywood Reporter in response to statements from the series Quiet on Set, and assured that “sleeping the last two nights was very difficult. Me facing my past behaviors, some of which are shameful and which I regret.”

And he added that, when he had the opportunity to watch the documentary, “I could see the pain in some people’s eyes and it made me feel very sorry. “I wish I could go back, especially to those early years of my career, and bring the growth and experience that I have now.”
