This time in the Lok Sabha elections, candidates can spend a maximum of 95 lakh rupees on election campaigning and management. Election expenses of the candidates will start immediately after the submission of their nomination papers. Not only this, candidates will have to open a separate bank account and give full details of expenses to the Election Commission. কান্ক্রি ক্র্তাক কে কান্তা কান্তা কান্তা ক্র্যান ক্র্তা ক্র্ত Chief Electoral Officer Anurag Agarwal gave this information to representatives of various political parties in Chandigarh on Tuesday. He has called upon the political parties to motivate voters to vote more. More than 1 crore 99 lakh voters will be able to exercise their franchise in the elections. The Election Commission has appealed to the voters to be a part of the ‘Chunava Ka Parva, Desh Ka Garv’ campaign.

He said that along with the announcement of elections, the Model Election Code of Conduct has been implemented in the state. It is compulsory for the candidates and political parties contesting the election to follow it. Aggarwal said that the security amount for general category candidates will be Rs 25 thousand and for scheduled caste candidates will be Rs 12 thousand 500.

Aggarwal said that the contesting candidates will have to fill Form 26 as affidavit while filing the nomination papers. It has to be attested by a Notary or a Class One Magistrate. For star campaigners, permission must be obtained from the Office of the Chief Election Officer for the use of the vehicle. A maximum of five persons including the driver will be allowed in a vehicle on election day. Venues for election rallies will be fixed by Deputy Commissioner cum District Election Officer.

He said that the Election Commission has prepared some mobile applications. These include Voter Helpline, Saksham ECI, C-Vigil, Voter Turn Out and Know Your Candidate. These applications have provided all the information to the voters sitting at home. A total of 19 thousand 812 polling stations will be established in the state. All basic amenities will be available.

On behalf of political parties, BJP’s Virendra Garg, Congress’ Talwindra Singh and RD Saini, Aam Aadmi Party’s Venus Malik, Jannayak Janata Party’s Ram Narayan Yadav and INEL’s Satyavrat participated in the meeting as representatives. Additional Chief Electoral Officer Hema Sharma, Joint Electoral Officer Apoorva and Rajkumar were present on this occasion.
