Mumbai. Rajasthan Royals have kept their hopes of reaching the top-2 intact. The team defeated Lucknow Super Giants by 24 runs in the 63rd match of IPL 2022. This is the team’s 8th win in 13 matches. Playing first in the match, Rajasthan scored 178 runs for 6 wickets. Yashasvi Jaiswal scored the highest 41 runs. In reply, Lucknow’s team could score only 154 runs for 8 wickets. The team of Lucknow has come from second to third in the table and the team of Rajasthan has come from third to second. Gujarat Titans team is on top with 20 points.

Padikkal hit 5 fours and 2 sixes in his 18-ball attack. In the last over, Trent Boult (17 *) along with Ravichandran Ashwin (10 *) made an unbroken partnership of 26 runs in 14 balls to take the team’s score to 178.

Butler could not do wonders

Ravi Bishnoi took two wickets for Lucknow while Avesh Khan, Jason Holder and Ayush Badoni took one wicket each. Jaiswal expressed his intentions by hitting two consecutive fours against Mohsin Khan in the first over itself. Avesh Khan, who came to bowl in the third over, gave a big success to Lucknow by bowling Jos Buttler (2), who was running in excellent rhythm on the second ball. On the very next ball, Samson opened his account by hitting a four. He also hit 2 fours against Mohsin who came to bowl in the next over.

100 runs in the 11th over
