Chandigarh, September 11 (Trinew)
After the meetings in the districts, Congress co-ordinators have started giving their reports to party in-charge Deepak Babaria. Feedback reports of many districts reached the in-charge in New Delhi on Monday. The concerned co-ordinator will meet the in-charge on Tuesday and give the report of the remaining districts. After compiling this report, the in-charge will prepare a panel of names of possible district presidents district wise. It is believed that he will give his panel to party general secretary (organisation) KC Venugopal.
Venugopal will discuss these panels with party president Mallika Arjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi. It is also possible that the leadership may hold one-to-one dialogue with key leaders of the state Congress before selecting the district presidents. Former CM and opposition leader Bhupendra Hooda, State President Uday Bhan, former Union Minister Kumari Selja, National General Secretary Randeep Singh Surjewala, former Minister Kiran Chaudhary, Rajya Sabha MP Deependra Hooda and former Finance Minister Captain Ajay Yadav can be called for talks. It is possible that the leadership may also discuss the possible names with the four working state presidents Jitendra Kumar Bhardwaj, Ramkishan Gurjar, Shruti Choudhary and Suresh Gupta. After spending four-five days in the districts of the state, the AICC co-ordinator is reaching Delhi and giving the report to the in-charge. During this time, two co-ordinators appointed by the State Congress Committee are also meeting the in-charge and giving feedback.
When this team of observers reached the districts, they had to face opposition due to factionalism among Congress leaders. At many places, Hooda supporters raised slogans against Randeep Surjewala, Selja and Kiran, while at many places SRK supporters opened a front against Hooda, father and son. At some places there was even fighting among the workers. The high command had assigned the observers the task of preparing a list of names of potential district presidents and leaders to join the state executive and taking feedback regarding the Lok Sabha elections.
On Monday, this team reached Delhi and Congress in-charge Deepak Babaria started meeting everyone one by one. This meeting with the party in-charge will continue for the next two days.
There will also be a meeting with senior leaders
According to Congress in-charge Deepak Babaria, after taking lists from all the observers, a meeting will be held on this issue with senior leaders of Haryana. No limit has been set for the District Executive. All the names that come will be considered. Congress is going to set up its own organization in view of future plans. He said that in the districts where consensus is reached, progress will be made to form the organization, otherwise the high command will be informed about the remaining districts. The leaders who were sent from Delhi were completely impartial and this has become clear in their report.
