Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij said that mapping will be done in 8 districts to stop illegal mining. It is being started from Yamunanagar district. Common SOP of Enforcement Bureau will also be prepared. Vij was holding a meeting with officials of Haryana State Enforcement Bureau here on Tuesday. While giving instructions to the officials, the Home Minister said that all the departments included in the Haryana State Enforcement Bureau will give the SOP of their respective departments so that the common SOP of the Bureau can be prepared.

He said that mapping is very important to stop illegal mining. Along with this, GPS chips should be installed in legal mining vehicles so that illegal mining can be stopped. Besides, e-departure should also be made mandatory. While giving instructions to the officials, he said that maximum strictness should be taken to stop illegal mining because the job of all of us is to stop theft of illegal mining from the state. He said that night vision cameras should be installed outside the distilleries in the state so that we have complete information about the activities of every truck coming and going from there.

Vij said that the employees working in various related departments who have been appointed in the Bureau and who have not yet joined the duty in the Bureau, should be given notice because it is necessary to have employees to run the Bureau properly. Apart from this, he said that the action of the Bureau should be ensured in each district. On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary of Home Department TVSN Prasad, Additional Chief Secretary of Mining Department Arun Kumar Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary of Energy Department AK Singh, DGP Shatrujit Kapoor, Principal Secretary of Transport Department Navdeep Singh Virk, ADGP SS Chawla, Irrigation and Secretary and Commissioner of Water Resources Department Pankaj Aggarwal and other senior officers were present.
