Piranha Games has announced a new game in the MechWarrior franchise.
MechWarrior 5: Clans will be published in 2024 and will have versions for PlayStation, Xbox and PC. It has not been specified, at the moment, if it will be exclusive to the current generation on consoles or if it will also reach the previous one.
According to its developers, the game “despite retaining the MechWarrior 5 designation represents a transformative step for the franchise.” It will have a linear campaign, which will be experienced from the point of view of the Smoke Jaguar clan during the conflict known as Clan Invasion.
As is usual in the franchise, the action will have a strategic touch and the mechs can be customized with numerous pieces. A superior technical section is also promised than in previous deliveries thanks to the use of the Unreal Engine and destructible scenarios.
