MEXICO CITY (apro).- The State Council of Morena in Yucatán defined this Thursday the list of candidates for the candidacy for the state government who will go to the survey phase.
Among those elected is not Senator Jorge Carlos Ramírez Marín, who this week resigned from the PRI to aspire to the governorship of that entity through the coalition of parties related to the Fourth Transformation, for which he joined the Green Party.
The selected candidates were the former delegate of the Ministry of Welfare, Joaquín Díaz Mena; Senator Verónica Camino Farjat; federal representative Rocío Barrera Puc and legislator Jazmín Villanueva Moo.
On Tuesday, Senator Jorge Carlos Ramírez Marín put an end to 40 years of militancy in the PRI, by joining the Green Ecologist Party of Mexico (PVEM), an ally of Morena.
Ramírez Marín immediately registered in the internal process of the Fourth Transformation movement to compete for the candidacy for the government of Yucatán.
After learning of Morena’s decision, Paloma Sánchez, Secretary of Communication of the national PRI, published a tweet to mock:
“@jc_ramirezmarin betrayed the PRI and the Front to seek the governorship of Yucatán for the Green. Two days later they left him out of the internal contest.”

He also shared the reaction of the PRI federal deputy Rubén Moreira, who spread a note about the decision of the Morenista council with the message: “This is how those in front received @jc_ramirezmarin.”
