The magistrates of the Superior Court of the State will elect who will occupy the Presidency for the next three-year period and since there is no election for the magistrates of the chambers that do not have a permanent holder, the decision will fall to the 22 acting magistrates, three of them. In total there are 26 magistracies, but in four of them there is one person in charge, because the election process has not been carried out.
Last week, the presiding judge of the Superior Court of Justice (TSJ), Myriam Hernández Acosta, indicated that she does not rule out the possibility of seeking re-election.
However, the head of the Judiciary stressed that she has not yet made a determination and, in any case, it will be the plenary session of magistrates who will decide who will direct the work of the Court.
