Nawaz Sharif new controversy: After the general elections in Pakistan, the reins of the country have once again come into the hands of the Sharif family. The public did not give power to Nawaz Sharif, who came to Islamabad from London with the dream of becoming PM, but somehow Sharif and Bhutto families are running the government together. The command of the country rests on the shoulders of younger brother Shahbaz Sharif, while the reins of Punjab province rest with Maryam Nawaz. However, the obsession with power has not yet gone out of Nawaz Sharif’s mind. This time he has created trouble for his daughter Maryam. Despite not holding any official position, he was seen taking meetings of officials in Punjab and harassing them.

Nawaz Sharif, elder brother of Pakistan PM Shahbaz Sharif, has got into a new controversy. Top Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Nawaz Sharif has courted controversy by presiding over three administrative meetings of the Punjab government. The opposition is heavily criticizing Nawaz for this step. Opposition parties allege that Nawaz does not hold any post in the provincial or federal government, in such a situation how can he take meetings of government officials?

Sharif, a three-time Prime Minister of Pakistan, was not seen in public since the general elections held last month. Sharif on Monday chaired three meetings of the Punjab government led by his daughter Maryam Nawaz, ‘Dawn’ newspaper reported.

A statement issued after the meeting said the top Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz party leader met ministers regarding various infrastructure projects including underground trains and metro buses, plight of farmers, electric bikes for students and Ramzan relief package. And issued instructions to the officials. Sharif’s chairmanship of these meetings is also raising many questions, because he does not hold any official position in the provincial or federal government and is only a member of the National Assembly.
