Now files up to 2GB can be shared on WhatsApp in a jiffy! New feature coming!

A feature is coming soon on WhatsApp in which files can be shared with nearby contacts in a jiffy. WhatsApp tracker platform has revealed this. Talking about which it has been said that this feature is being tested in the latest beta version. This feature uses Bluetooth for file transfer.

Sharing files on WhatsApp is now going to be very easy. According to WABetaInfo, the messaging platform is testing such a feature in which the user will be able to share a file of 2GB size with the users around him in a pinch. This means that now the user will soon be free from the hassle of sharing files in chat, or sharing cloud storage etc. It has been said in the report that for this the user will have to go to the Share Files section of the app. Here the file will be transferred between two users, and until the entire file is transferred, the users will have to remain in this section.

This method of file sharing uses only end-to-end encryption, so that file sharing here is as secure as it is in the standard way in WhatsApp. Another interesting thing to know is that for file sharing the user has to just shake his phone. Also, for privacy, phone numbers will also remain hidden during file sharing, and will not be visible to people who are not saved in your contact list.

Google and Samsung have recently given Quick Share update for this, through which files can be transferred very easily. Now it remains to be seen how useful this upcoming feature of WhatsApp proves to be for the users.

Talking about other updates related to WhatsApp, users are going to get new updates in the channel soon. The channel will soon have a polling feature, voice notes and the ability to share channel updates on status. The new update will increase engagement in the channel, allowing channel admins to send polls to members. Channel admins will now also be able to send updates in the form of voice notes, allowing them to connect with users in a more direct way. Apart from this, WhatsApp channel updates can now also be shared on status. This can be done by long pressing the channel update that the user wants to share. For this, first select ‘Forward’ and then select ‘My Status’. The new update also has the facility to add more than one administrator for a particular channel.
