Chandigarh, September 24 (Trinew)
National General Secretary of All India Congress Committee, former Union Minister and former State President of Haryana Congress, Kumari Selja said that just before the start of crop procurement, the BJP-JJP coalition government of the state started hatching another government conspiracy to harass the farmers. Is. On the pretext of crop data mismatch, the state government wants to avoid purchasing the crops prepared with hard work by the farmers and hence all this conspiracy is being hatched. The state government should purchase every grain of a farmer’s crop, whether he has registered or not.
In a statement issued to the media, Kumari Selja said that under the pressure of farmers, government procurement of paddy is starting from September 25. The crop has already started arriving in the markets of North Haryana. For this, the farmers had also got themselves registered on the Mera Fasal, Mera Byora portal on time. But meanwhile, the state government remained idle; it neither made any preparation nor issued any instructions regarding crop procurement. Now that the time for crop procurement has come, it is being said that there is a mismatch in the data of more than 24 lakh acres of Kharif crop on this portal. The former Union Minister said that why did the government not get this data checked for so many months? If this data had been checked earlier, the farmers would not have faced such problems at the last moment and they could have easily brought their crops to the market and sold them. But, now there is doubt whether the government will be able to start purchasing paddy from September 25.
He said that even before the procurement of wheat crop in the month of April, a case of such data mismatch had come to light. Despite this, the state government did not learn any lesson. Making the excuse of data mismatch just before procurement exposes the vindictive attitude of the coalition government towards farmers.
