One Nation One Ration Card Scheme is proving to be a boon: Anup Dhanak – dainiktribuneonline.com

Anup Dhanak, Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, said that the One Nation-One Ration Card scheme is proving to be a boon for the entire country today. Lakhs of people who left their villages and states and went to other places for employment are today taking advantage of the scheme in Haryana and other parts of the country. In Faridabad district itself, 4619 people who came to employment from other states had taken ration in the month of January and now in the month of October, 9831 people have taken the benefit of this scheme.

Anup Dhanak was addressing at the inauguration of the dialogue program with the beneficiaries of One Nation-One Ration Card Scheme at Gurjar Bhawan in Sector-16 on Friday. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had launched this biggest scheme for the benefit of the people of the country on August 9, 2019. After this, during the Covid pandemic, this scheme did the biggest work in the interest of the common man of the country. Lakhs of people took benefit from this scheme during that period of disaster. He said that the One Nation-One Ration Card scheme is a historic step towards bringing changes in the public distribution system. He said that portability of ration is making NFSA beneficiaries more self-reliant and today in a very short time it has been implemented in all 36 states and union territories across the country. In his address he said that NFSA allows beneficiaries especially migrant beneficiaries to make claims.
